Amino Acid Imbalance in Atherosclerosis
Our special interest in the study of the role of amino acids in the pathogenesis, prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis and its accompanying cardiovascular pathology in circulatory failure is due to several reasons. So, atherosclerosis is characterized not only by disturbances in the metabolic flows of carbohydrate (inhibition of gluconeogenesis and activation of glycolysis), lipid (activation of lipolysis, ketosis), but also protein (protein and hypoalbuminemia), hyperglobulinemia and negative nitrogen balance) [1-18]. There is comparatively little data in the available literature on changes in the spectrum (pool, fund) of free plasma amino acids against the background of atherosclerosis.
